One of the things that I have always wanted to do is to compete in a 5K. Well, on April 11th, I will be doing just that. There is a 5K in Jackson that is called "Run from the Sun"-which is ironic considering I usually run towards the sun! So, I guess I am now in training. I am only going to walk the race, but I don't want to be the last one to cross the finish line. I am so excited!
I am also looking into learning a new language. I took Japanese my junior year in high school. We were living in Washington State at the time and we moved the beginning of the second semester, so I was not able to get a firm grip on the language. So, which is easier to learn-French, Spanish, or German? Tosha and Zac are both going to be taking German I next year, but I want to start learning a language over the next three months. (Our FHE was on goal setting last night-and that was my goal!) If you have any insight, please let me know!

Academic Team Competition
Today Tosha competed in the St. Andrew's NAQT (National Academic Quiz Tournaments)tournament and I was asked to be the "coach" for this meet. We normally have 4+ players on the team, but today only 3 showed up! There were 21 teams competing and the top 8 (after the morning rounds) advanced on to the semi-finals. Although we only had three players, we placed 8th! Yea!! But... Terry had tougher teams that they played against, so we went home (they were 9th). Oh well! We did really well considering. I enjoyed coaching-except for when we were asked questions that I knew the answers to and the three students did not!! I figured if I could know the answer, surely they would!
Tosha's friend that is a boy, is coming over for dinner tonight. This had been planned for over 6 weeks. Kent is a very sweet guy, and he is very respectful of the limitations that are placed on Tosha. He almost always asks us if he and Tosha can get together and watch movies, before he asks her. Too bad he isn't interested in coming to church with us! Maybe once Mike is released as bishop, Kent would be more willing to come (Kent is terrified of Mike!!).
Happy Valentine's Day!
